April 2023

In collaboration with Cawthron Institute, we’re undertaking environmental monitoring at both the Esk Point and Pōnui farm sites.

Purpose-built ocean going sensors have been deployed and are measuring water temperatures and light penetration throughout the water column to monitor the growing environment at various depths.

November 2022

We’re aiming to test how seaweed biostimulants may enhance soil health and soil carbon, reduce reliance on synthetic fertilisers and lower carbon footprints on farm.

We’ve developed a soil monitoring programme. Soil sampling was carried out on a farm in the Hauraki Plains to establish baseline carbon content and other soil fertility metrics.
